Pitch deck presentation to RAIN team
In the Pitch Deck Presentation phase, startups present their pitch decks to the RAIN team. During this process, the RAIN team evaluates and filters the startups based on their business model, market potential, and overall fit with RAIN’s investment criteria. This phase determines which startups will advance to the next stage of evaluation or engagement.
Elevator pitch video
In the Elevator Pitch Video phase, startups submit a brief, compelling video presentation to RAIN. Investors review these videos to assess initial interest and decide which startups they are keen to hear more from in a full pitch. This stage helps RAIN and its investors quickly identify promising opportunities for further engagement.
Investor pitch
At the RAIN-hosted event, selected startups will pitch their ventures to investors. Each startup will present their solution, market opportunity, and business model. The event will feature a Q&A session with investors and a networking opportunity, and will conclude with closing remarks summarizing key takeaways and next steps.
Investor Feedback
Investor feedback includes a summary of the pitch’s strengths, areas for improvement, and any key questions or concerns. It also provides an indication of investment interest and outlines the next steps for further discussions or potential investment. This feedback helps startups refine their approach and address any issues before seeking additional funding.
Startup Shortlist announcement
The Startup Shortlist Announcement informs startups of the investor feedback, whether they’ve been selected for further consideration, and outlines the next steps, including any additional requirements or follow-up activities.
Due Diligence
During Due Diligence, RAIN evaluates the startup’s business model, financials, and market potential; reviews legal aspects such as company formation and intellectual property; and assesses the backgrounds and expertise of the founding team. This ensures a thorough assessment before any investment decision.
Investment decision
In the Investment Decision phase, RAIN reviews the due diligence reports, which cover business, legal, and founder evaluations. Based on this comprehensive analysis, RAIN makes the final decision on whether to proceed with the investment. This step determines whether the startup will receive funding and outlines any conditions or next steps for the investment.
Investment Structuring
In the Investment Structuring phase, RAIN designs the deal terms on behalf of investors. This involves negotiating and finalizing the investment terms, including valuation, equity stakes, funding amounts, and any special conditions or rights. The goal is to create a structured agreement that aligns with both the startup’s needs and the investors’ requirements.
Agreement signing
During the Agreement Signing phase, RAIN facilitates the formal execution of the investment agreement between the parties involved. This includes coordinating and ensuring that all necessary documents are signed by both the startup and the investors, finalizing the terms of the investment deal and formalizing the commitment.
Fund Transfer
In the Fund Transfer phase, RAIN coordinates and facilitates the transfer of investment funds from investors to the startup. This involves ensuring that all financial transactions are completed smoothly and securely, in accordance with the agreed-upon terms and conditions of the investment deal.
